SAMUEL PETER GOODRICH

Samuel (Peter) Goodrich was born on October 15, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Wardell and Mildred Goodrich. He departed this life peacefully in his home on December 5, 2019 (his father, Wordell’s birthday).

At a very early age Peter accepted Christ into his life. He attended Jamison Memorial Temple CME in Kansas City, Missouri until his passing. Peter is now reunited in heaven with his wife Patricia Ann Hoskins-Goodrich. He is preceded in death by both parents, Wardell and Mildred Goodrich; siblings, Wilsie Dixson-Hampton and Verdell Goodrich; and nephew Bobby E Allen.  

In Peter’s early years he attended both Attucks and Stanford B. Ladd elementary schools. He later graduated from Paseo High School In 1967. Years later he married his longtime friend Patricia Ann Hoskins-Goodrich. The couple was inseparable. They loved spending time together. 

When Peter wasn’t spending time with his wife, he enjoyed fishing, tennis, and golf. One of his favorite things to do was travel to play in golf tournaments. Peter was always the life of the party and well known for his sharp dressing. He also knew how to host a good party. In 1998 Peter began his own company, P&G Janitorial Service. He was extremely proud of his company. He later retired in 2016.

Peter leaves to cherish his memory: Two sister Olivia Allen, Linda M. Goodrich (Five Star General) Of Kansas City, Missouri. One brother Lonnie Goodrich of Kansas City, Missouri; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Special Thanks to close friend Tyron & Cousin Damon.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Jamison Memorial Temple C.M.E. 3115 Linwood Blvd. Kansas City, Missouri 64130.  Visitation 10:00 a.m. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery.
