Timothy McDaniel

TIMOTHY MCDANIEL was born on December 6, 1925 in Conway, Arkansas to the late James McDaniel and the late Zullar McCoy McDaniel.  He departed this life on August 11, 2019.  He is preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Timothy grew-up on “Gold Lake of Conway, Arkansas and was educated in the Conway School System.  He loved his life there.  Several years before he became very ill, he went back to visit his hometown.  He said, “life there was good and the memories sweet.”  He moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1944.  He met and married Doris Turner of Osawatomie, Kansas, to this union no children were born.  They were married for 62 years. Doris died in 2015.

Timothy worked for a period at Missouri Pacific Railroad.  Later, he worked for Belton Steel Company as a truck driver. 

He united with the Parker Memorial Cathedral of Praise Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor John Mark Johnson who became the Bishop. He loved his church family! He found time to think of others and do what he could to help them.  He lived the last few months of his life at Redwood Raymore Rehabilitation Center.  While there, he warmed many hearts with kind words and a wonderful smile.  He was truly a remarkable person who was loved by everyone.  He leaves to cherish his precious memory a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Barker Memorial Cathedral of Praise C.O.G.I.C. 11401 East 47th Street Kansas City, Missouri 64133. Visitation 10:00a.m. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery KCMO.
