VICKI MOSLEY NAVE Obituary

VICKI R. NAVE

Vicki Renee Mosley Nave was born to Archie and Mary Jo Counts on January 26, 1954, in Kansas City, Kansas.  A life-long resident of Kansas City, Missouri, Vicki began her early education at D.A. Holmes Elementary and her Christian education at St. James United Methodist Church.  Vicki completed high school at Southeast High School where she was actively involved in student government, pom-pom and was crowned Crusader Queen her senior year.  She continued her studies at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri where she met and married Cremin Mosley from Asbury Park, New Jersey.  To that union were born two children—Cremin Alexander and Kerrye Alysia.  A consummate caregiver, Vicki received her practical nursing cap from Lakeside Hospital in 1979.  The family’s “Doctor on Call”, everyone checked in with Vicki for advice from a headache to other ailments.  Family was always her “first”priority and whether it was travelling to visit them or exploring new places with them, she relished each opportunity.  She and Cremin shared an annual event of watching the Oscars and flew to California to enjoy that.  She also enjoyed a trip to Martha’s Vineyard adventure with her sister.  She enjoyed spending time with her daughter Kerrye and grand kids.  You could find her on the couch surrounded by the kids drinking a coke, dozing off.  In her spare time, she loved to go to the boat and play the slots.  She was also a big movie fan and loved to go with one of her best friends Vallori. She also loved to go out to eat.  Every major event or even a simple day with the family was capped with a good meal and plenty of smiles.  Her zest for life and her passion for her family will be remembered most.  She is survived by her children Cremin and Kerrye (Peter Maina), grandsons Cameron and Kamau, siblings Cynthia (Greg Goodwin), Barry (Debra Counts), and Terry (Barbara Counts), lifelong friend June Lawson, former husband Joe Nave, and countless nieces, cousins and family friends.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Watkins Heritage Chapel 4000 Emanuel Cleaver Blvd. KCMO 64130.  Visitation 10:00a.m. Private Disposition
