Alice Mae Sifuentes was born May 28th, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Haskell Woodson Jr. and Evelyn Sykes (step-father Adell Sykes) d. She was a lifelong resident. Alice graduated from Southeast High School and spent majority of her working career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield where she met the love of her life Anthony (Tony) Sifuentes. Make no doubt about it, Alice’s faith was grounded in Christianity. She enjoyed gardening, talking to her neighbors and keeping up with the family. Alice loved her family dearly and would go out her way to make sure you were fine. With no children of her own, her pride, joy, and apple of her eyes were her God-children born to her by her sisters.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband Anthony (Tony) Sifuentes, mother Evelyn V. Sykes (Adell Sykes), father Haskell Woodson Jr., grandparents Adeline V Tucker (Manuel Tucker), Joseph Hubbard, Fleta Woodson, Haskell Woodson Jr., great nieces Jazzmahn Shears-Sykes and Jazzanae Wells. Alice was surrounded by her beloved family when she transitioned to be home with the Lord on May 21st, 2020. No more pain or worries. She will be missed dearly by many. She leaves to uphold her memories two sisters LaTreace Carter (Davan) and LaTonya Sykes; a special cousin that was like a sister Carol Jean Mitchell (Andre); Her beloved nephews and nieces AKA God-children Timothy Akpolughe (Mary), Jalill Sykes, JaMeshia Sykes, Deontae Jones, Diamone Jones, Deondre Walker and Destani Barnes. 5 great-nephews and 6 great nieces; A host of uncles, aunts, cousins, family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 3rd at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Visitation 10:00 A.M. Interment Brooking Cemetery.
