Annie Dunn Obituary

Mother Annie Lee Paul-Dunn, born August 14, 1930 in Altheimer, Arkansas, to the union of Cecil and Rosie Stockdale.  Mother departed this life on February 2, 2020 at St. Luke’s Medical Center.  Both parents preceded her in death as well as husband, James P. Paul and second husband, Colonel Dunn; son, Sylvester Paul and Willie Paul; sisters, Margie Porter and Louise Wilson, brothers, Henry, Clarence, Clyde and Cecil Stockdale; and granddaughter, Nichole Scott.  Our father, James P. Paul passed away in October 1958, leaving her with eight children to care for the oldest being thirteen years old.  At the age of 29, she bought her first home, working long hours in the shipping department at National Bell Hess, taking two buses to care for her family  for years.  A dedicated and determined mother, overseeing the success of her    family with motherly love, experience, balancing home life and work.  Always putting her family first.  Later she married Colonel Dunn who passed away years later.  As life continued for her, she met a special person, Mr. Prentis Kidd, who was always by her side until his passing.  Mother accepted Christ at an early age and lived her life as a loving and  caring Christian.  She was a faithful member of Canaan Worship Center for many, many years, attending Sunday services until her health began to fail.  Her faith was always at the head of her life which made her the wonderful person she was.  She loved her family with all her heart, and she touched so many lives in a positive way.  She will truly be missed.  She leaves to mourn her passing and most importantly, cherish her beautiful memories, are: sister,  Rosie Nevins; sons, James C. (Louise) Paul, Sidney Paul, Richard (Mattie) Paul, all of Kansas City, Missouri, Raymond (Ruth) Paul of Atlanta, Georgia; daughters, Lourene (John) Williams, Margie (Stanley) Alexander, Colonel Dunn, Jr. all of Kansas City, Missouri; grandsons, Damon Paul, Bernard Williams, Aaron (Abby) Williams all of Kansas City, Missouri; granddaughters, Yolanda (Delani) Warren,  Jennifer Paul all of Kansas City, Missouri, Faré Paul of  Atlanta, Georgia, Sidney Lewis of Virginia (Jasper), Joneé (Kevin) Levenette of Kansas City,  Missouri, Minia (Anthony) Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri, Robin Peoples of Memphis, Tennessee, Tammie Paul and Tobie Paul; grandsons, DeMarcus Paul, Miles Paul, Martin Paul, Matthew Paul all of Kansas City, Missouri, William Scalford-Paul of Florida, Edgar Paul, Kansas City,  Missouri, grand kids; 27 great grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren; nephews, nieces  and a host of beloved  relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Canaan Worship Center 5333 Bannister Road KCMO 64137.  Visitation 9:00 a.m. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery
