BESSIE MARIE WYNNE

Bessie Marie Wynne was born March 23, 1922 to Samuel Smart Sr. and Flora Gray Smart in Rosedale, Kansas.  She was the second oldest of five siblings.  She was called home to be with the Lord on July 21, 2019.  Bessie received her formal education in the Kansas City, Kansas School System.  Bessie was married to John Wynne, and to this union a son was born, John Wynne Jr.  Bessie was preceded in death by both parents Samuel and Flora Smart; four siblings Lucy Smith (Robert) Flora Richardson (Herbert) Mary Parks (Matt) and brother Samuel Smart.  Bessie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.  She attended St. Mathews AME Church where she was an active member until her health began to fail.  Bessie retired from the Social Security Administration.  In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and caring for her grandchildren.  She leaves to mourn her son John Wynne Jr. (Danielle) grandson John Wynne III, Jordan Wynne and great grandchildren Mayson, Marlee, Anylah Wynne and a host of nephews, nieces, special niece Joyce Smith, and friends.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at St. Matthews AME Zion Church 4400 East Linwood Blvd., KCMO.  Visitation 9:00a.m.  Interment Forest Hill Cemetery.
