Dorothy Johnson

Dorothy Lee Johnson, 92 years young, was born to Ernest Etier Sr and Linnie Mae Etier(Hollins) on March 15, 1928 in Kansas City, Kansas. She passed away peacefully at home.

Dorothy proudly served on the motherboard of Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, Bishop Daniel Jordan for over 24 years.

She attended Sumner High school, graduation class of 1946.

She was retired from Domestic service of 53 years and worked at Panache Chocolatier on the Country Club Plaza for several years after retiring from Domestic work.

Both parents proceeded her in death as well as her loving husband Invester Johnson of 24 years of marriage. Also proceeded her death are sister’s Margarite Etier, Johnnie Mae Etier and Versie Lee Goff.  Uncles,  Karansas Etier and Edward Etier.

Dorothy was the Matriarch of 5 generations.

She is survived by her

Biological child, Thedilla Allen & step children, Arthur Byrd(Cheryl), Michelle Byrd and twin Michael Byrd(Rita), Donald Byrd and Norris Byrd(Sharon). Grand daughters, Audrey Newson and Lisa Allen. Great grandchildren, Chaketa Hollis(Reggie), Andrew Newson Jr, Christopher Newson and Darien Gates. Great great grandchildren, Mikiyah Hollis and Christopher Hollis. Brother’s Ernest Etier Jr and Roy Etier. Sister,  Alice Miller. Many nieces and nephews.

She is eternally loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Monday, December 14th at Watkins Heritage Chapel 4000 Emanuel Cleaver Blvd KCMO 64130. Visitation 10am. Interment Forest Hill & Calvary Cemetery.
