Hillard Brooks Obituary

Hillard Wayne Brooks came from a large and loving family.  Wayne, as he was called, was born on November 9, 1953 to Reverend Ignatius and Viris Brooks.  He received his secondary education in Jamaica.  He met and married his wife Beulah and had three children before migrating to the United States in 1986.

Wayne had a tremendous work ethic and was consistently recognized by his employers for his hard work and exemplary performance.  He loved his family and set high standards for his children.  He pushed them hard and expected them to work as hard as he did.  As a direct result they now have successful careers.   Wayne was an outgoing person and made friends easily.  He enjoyed opening his home to friends and family to gather and share in his love of dominos.  He had a very competitive side and loved to win, as members of the West Indian Social Club can attest.  Although he loved playing dominos, what he loved most was spending time with his friends.

His mother Viris, brothers Max and Everton, sisters Eleanor, Marica, and Nova preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife Beulah, sons Damion and Andre (Candice), daughter Dahnia, granddaughter Lydia, father Reverend Ignatius Brooks, sisters Ruth Craig (Ron), Angella and Carol Brooks, brothers Reverend Samuels (Jamaica), Joe Bramwell (New York), Andrew Brooks (Washington D.C.), and Keni Brooks (Overland Park, KS), two aunts Verona Brooks and Pearline McKenzie (Boston), three uncles Edwin, Levi, and Byron (Jamaica), and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins in the United States, England, and Jamaica.
