Maggie Williams Obituary

Maggie Lee Williams or “Baby” as she was affectionately known was born December 18, 1937 to the union of Arthur & Zelda Bifford in Altheimer, Arkansas.  Maggie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Hope BC in Altheimer, AR.  Maggie graduated from Altheimer High School and after graduating she moved to Kansas City, MO where she attended Starlight Baptist Church.  

On April 22, 1978 she was joined in Holy Matrimony to Rev. Frank Williams, the love of her life for 42 years.  In 1981 she became the 1st Lady of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of her husband, Pastor Frank Williams.  She held different positions in the church: Sunday School Teacher, President of the choir, and President of the Mother Ministry.  She also held the position VP of the New Era District Wives and Widows then later served as President. 

  On Saturday, April 11th, 2020 Mother Maggie Williams was called home to be with the Lord.  With her loving devoted husband and family by her bedside after much suffering with Alzheimer for about 10 years.  Maggie retired in from AT&T in 1989 after 30 years of service.  She was proceeded in death by her parents, grandparents, grandson, sister, uncle and aunt.  

She leaves to cherish in her memory: Her devoted husband, Pastor Frank Williams, loving son, Rickey Bifford (Jackie), (2) stepdaughters, Frankie Burrell (Neil), Eloise Battieste (Eric), (1) stepson, Robert Allan, (1) Godson, Karl Jackson, (2) granddaughters, (5) grandsons, (5) great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

Memorial Services will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Interment 2:00 P.M. pm Twelve Gates Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
