Brian Murrell Sr, was born Oct 30, 1961 to Ethel Maxine Brown (Murrell) and Albert Toliver. He was proceeded in death by both parents, grandparents, and special Aunt Betty Brown along with his eldest brother Andre Murrell (Brother), sister Vickie Murrell and sister Paula Bibbs.
He attended Lincoln High School and received his high school Diploma in 1979. God gifted him with working hands and was formerly employed at Hilltop Town homes and the City of Kansas City. He joined Macedonia Baptist Church in 2019 under the leadership of Pastor John Brooks.
He was united in Holy Matrimony in 1989 to Dionne Murrell.
He lived his life to the fullest and loved spending days with his family and grandchildren. He loved music, movies, McDonalds coffee and shopping. He stayed clean!
He departed life Monday, March 28, 2022 at Truman Medical Center.
His memories are left to be cherished by four children, Christopher Frazier, Shamika Mansori (Abdessalam), Shanta Murrell, and Brian Murrell Jr., six sisters, Pamela Abernathy (Melvin), Teri Pulluaim (Willie), Penny Murrell, Coylea Topps (Robert), Doris Howse, and Michelle Toliver six brothers, Steven Murrell (Yolanda), James Brown, Albert Toliver Jr (Linda), Keith Toliver, Kelvin Hampton (Phillis), and Brian Toliver; four granddaughters, Mi’Yonna Woods, Brooklynn Murrell, My’Lah Woods, My’Leah Woods, three grandsons, Brian Murrell III, Khalil Clay, Bryson Murrell and nine other grandchildren all of Kansas City, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 8, 2022, 12 noon at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Visitation will be from 11am-12pm at the chapel. Service conducted by Watkins Heritage Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
