Mr. Byron "Bee/Red" Williamson Obituary

Byron “Bee/Red” Craig Williamson, Sr. was born in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Flossie Christian and John Williamson on April 16th of 1950.  To that union six children were born: Bernadette, Stephon, Byron, Andre, Teresa and Keith.

Byron married his high school sweetheart, Bettye Williams, of Hope, Arkansas.  They were united in holy matrimony in 1972, and from this union they raised five children:  Shenee`, Byron Jr., Brian, Vincent and Avion. 

Byron worked for the Kansas City Fire Department for 25 years before retiring.  His favorite hobbies were playing golf and watching and talking about all kinds of sports.  He was most proud of the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Bettye; four children Shenee’ Mitchell (Patrick II), Byron Williamson, Brian Hughes, Vincent Williamson; four grandchildren Patrick Mitchell III, Jordyn Williamson, Jonathan Mitchell, Kyleigh Williamson; two brothers, Stephon Williamson (Dorothy) and Keith Williamson; one sister Teresa Beasley (Ronnie); and will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022, 11:00am at Calvary Temple BC. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10am-11am at the church. Service conducted by Watkins Heritage Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
