Obituary

Charles Ray Wallace was born on February 16, 1957 in Monroe, Louisiana to Walter Lee Wallace Sr. and Vivian Beatrice Wallace ( both who preceded him in death ).


Later, he moved to Kansas City, Missouri where he attended elementary through high school. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
In March 1976, he fathered one son, Terry Taylor. He later married Lynn Renae Lenley on April 5, 2014 ( who preceded him in death ).


Charles worked at Kapell Fabrics for 10 years, then Greenbrier Rail Services for 20+ years. He was a true Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed watching the game with family and friends. Charles was the pillar of his family. He loved to sing and spread his wisdom to his nieces and nephews who all looked up to him. He had a sense of humor and always had those around him laughing. Charles loved to bar b que, play chess, cards, and shoot pool with family and friends. 


Charles leaves to cherish his precious memory his son, Terry Taylor, His sisters: Barbara Love of Palm Desert, CA, Elsie Wallace and Annette Davis of Kansas City, MO, and Shirley Reese of Banning,CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. 
 

Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 18, 2022, 11:00am at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Interment XII Gates Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 17th 3pm-5pm at the chapel. Service conducted by Watkins Heritage Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
