Kevin Ray Campbell, 61, was born on February 5, 1960 to the union of Fred Jones and Louise (Littlejohn) Jones in Kansas City, Missouri. His parents, one sister, Angenette "Angie" Jones, uncles, Allen " June" Littlejohn and Alton "Bub" Littlejohn, aunt, Eva Mae Littlejohn and nephew, Anthony "Fat Tone" Watkins all preceded him in death.
Kevin resided in Kansas City, Missouri all of his life. He was a great father to son, Lafayette Borders, step sons, Rodney Cheadle amd Thomas Wright and step daughter, Tiesha Wright. Kevin was also a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, nephew and cousin who was always smiling.
Kevin was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri Public Schools and attended Manual High School. He later became a carpenter, painter and handyman. He attended Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Albert L. Johnson, Sr.
Kevin departed this earthly life peacefully to join the Angels in Heaven on May 11, 2021.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sandy Campbell; son, Lafayette Borders; step sons, Rodney Cheadle and Thomas Wright; step daughter, Tiesha Wright; sister, Denise Littlejohn; aunt, Remonia Davis (Darren); godmother, Jackie Turner; nephew, Dwon Littlejohn (Edwina) ; nieces, Lashawn Littlejohn (Mario Gray), De'Cean Jones, (Al) Dedra Nickell; (Brady) and Krashawn Moore; brothers-in-law, Tommy Wright and Eddie Wright, a host of grandchildren, cousins other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021, 2:00pm at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1pm-2pm at the the chapel.. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website. Due to COVID-19, social distancing and face coverings are required indoors. Temperature check for all guest(s).
