Mitchell Wright, Jr., was born to the union of Mitchell T. Wright and Georgie French on February 10, 1982, he was preceded in death by his mother, grandmother, Velta Borner, two grandfathers, Donald Wright and Eddie Hall, a cousin, Darrel Wright, Jr., and his great grandparents.
Mitchell departed this life on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Research Medical Center.
At an early age he accepted Christ into his life. He joined and was baptized at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, where served on the usher board.
Mitchell graduated from Hickman Mills high School and attended Longview Community College. He was later awarded a basketball scholarship to attend Penn Valley Community College. Basketball was one of his greatest passions in life. During Mitchell's spare time, he would spend countless hours on the basketball court perfecting his skills.
Mitchell was a very kind hearted person. Regardless, of his status in life, he would try to find a way to help anyone in need. He loved his family and friends. He was always a joy to be around, with his heart warming smile and beautiful personality.
Mitchell leaves to cherish his memory: loving parents Mitchell & Laceta Wright; three sisters, Quiana M. Wright of Los Angeles, CA., Shauna M. Hancock of Nashville, TN. and Kayla Stanford of Cleveland, OH; one grandmother, Lola Hall of Missouri; a great uncle, William Rogers(Delores) of Kansas; three uncles, Darrel Wright of Missouri, Halbert Hall(Shirley) of IN and Eddie Hall(Donna) of Kansas; four aunts, Cynthia Dice(Fred) of Missouri, Jewell French of Kansas, Darlene Burns of Missouri and Alice Wright of Missouri; two special cousins, Donald Wright of Missouri and DonNesha Wright of California; a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021, 11:00am at Mt. Vernon MBC. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11am at the church. Service conducted by Watkins Heritage Chapel. Condolences maybe shared on our website. Due to COVID-19 social distancing and face coverings guidelines will be enforced. Temperature will be checked for all guest(s).
