Nakian Ra’Son Thompson was born May 3, 1995, in Kansas City, Missouri to Nakian R. Johnson and LaTanya D. Thompson.
As a child Nakian (Kian, Peanut) enjoyed video games, music, dogs and grew a love for cars he also played sports football being his favorite. as a child he was the star running back for his team the KC Thunder.
Nakian was a thrill seeker with a bold and exciting, adventurous spirit. Growing up he spent a lot of time outside with his family and friends.
Nakian was very competitive he loved games or anything he could beat you at. He loved jokes and pranks and was full of laughter. He was kind and very neat and particular about his things.
Nakian was courageous and daring, a risk taker. 2013 he graduated from Ruskin High School shortly after meeting longtime girlfriend Jonnae Stevenson. He was a hands on person, an innovator which lead to his employment with Harley Davidson. After its closure, his passion for wanting to know everything he obtained his CDL and began driving trucks for Ashley Furniture Distribution.
Nakian will forever be in our hearts and missed along side his (p) great grand mother Helen Johnson, (p) grandfather Keith Austin, (p) Uncle Micheal Johnson (m) grandmother Flossie B. Harris (m) Uncle James Houston. He departed this life on March 18, 2024. Nakian is survived by his father, Nakian R. Johnson; mother LaTanya D. Thompson; grandmother Deborah Johnson; four sisters Selena Thompson, Taylor Thompson, Janae Thompson, and Samya Taylor; nephew, Charleston Porter; nieces Gianna McGee, Brooklynn Thompson, and Xoië McGee, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, 11:00am at the Watkins Heritage Chapel. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitation from 10:00am-11:00am at the chapel. Service Conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
