Phillip Eugene Richardson was born on March 19, 1956 to the union of William Richardson Jr. and Inez C, Richardson, in Kansas at KU Medical Center. 

He resided in Kansas City, MO his entire childhood and adult life.

 Phillip attended Lincoln High School but received his formal education through Job Corps in Kansas. Afterwards he enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. 

He was employed with UMB Bank for 20 years and retired in 2020.  He had a lifelong love for sports, especially basketball. Phillip accepted Christ early in his life while attending Bowers Memorial Methodist Church. During his latter days he made a confession of salvation while attending Gospel Tithing Bible Church.  Shortly before his departure Phillip expressed wanting to be with Jesus and his desire to hug him and never letting go.
Phillip leaves to cherish his memory:  wife Vera Richardson, children; Tamala Richardson and Felicia Richardson, grandchildren; Arvione (Brittany) Ford (Jr.), Darius (Jerricka) Richardson, Marcus Richardson, Demerius Felix, Mikilah Davis, Christopher Felix, Demetrius Felix and Chrisette Felix. Siblings; Michael Richardson (preceded in death) Elaine Green, Lolita Richardson and Derrick Richardson. 

Funeral Service will be held on November 12, 2022, 2:00pm at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1pm-2pm at the chapel. Service conducted by Watkins Heritage Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
