Mr. Thomas D. Webb, Sr.

Thomas Darrell Webb Sr. was a husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and a true friend. He was born on July 4, 1958, in Kansas City, Missouri as the sixth child to parents, Lafayette Sr and Mary Alice Webb. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lafayette Webb Sr. and Mother Mary Alice Webb and brothers, Eugene I. Webb Sr., and Lafayette Webb Jr. and his wife Rose Marie Webb.

Thomas Webb Sr. grew up and received his education in the Kansas City, Missouri School district, he attended Ladd Elementary, Central Middle School and graduated from Central High School.

He worked at Deffenbaugh Industries, he held several positions with the company, his final position was a driver. He worked there over 20 years. He also worked for the Kansas City School district as a groundskeeper. His final place of employment was the Jackson County detention center, he worked in the Correction department.  He was committed and a hard worker.

Thomas was a very dedicated loving son, father, husband, uncle, and little brother. He was a very passionate uncle, cousin, and a wonderful friend to all he knew and loved.

He loved football, fishing, and cooking. His favorite team was the Chiefs. He enjoyed taking fishing trips with his big brother, son, nephews, and friends.  He enjoyed cooking and Barbequing for his family and the “block”. Thomas enjoyed life! He loved dancing, listening to music, playing horseshoes, and hanging out with his family and friends! 

He was a comedian for sure with a beautiful smile that would just fill the room and your heart. He will surely be missed.  

Thomas Darrell Webb Sr. transitioned from this life on earth to his forever home on May 2, 2022. Leaving to cherish his memory his son Thomas D. Webb Jr, grandson Isaiah, 3 Siblings: sister Alice M. McCullough, brothers, George A. Webb Sr., and Vinson Webb. Brother-in-law, George McCullough, and Sister-in-law Willa J. Webb. Nephews: Russell Lane (Amy), George Webb Jr, Antione Webb Sr., Quincy Scott, and William Perkins (Danyale). Nieces TuJuania Scott (Dred), Veronica Webb, Cheryl Webb, and Kayla Scott and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be held May 14, 2022, 11:00am at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Interment Blue Ridge Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9am-11am at the chapel. Service conducted by Watkins Heritage Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
