Obituary

Olivia (GOODRICH) Allen, AKA (BOO JACK) age of 75, Kansas City Missouri Sunrise: August 16, 1947 Sunset: April 3, 2023.

Mrs. Olivia Goodrich Allen was born on August 16, 1947, to the union of Wardell and Mildred Lee Goodrich who preceded her in death. Loved ones who also preceded her in death (Husband) Elvin Lee Allen,(Grandparent) Gertrude Bates, Siblings Wilsie Hampton, Verdell Goodrich, Samuel (Peter) Goodrich, and loving Son Bobby E Allen & Aunt Orlee Mitchell.

At a very young age Olivia moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where she grew up. She received her high school diploma from Central High School in 1965. Shortly after she met her husband Elvin Lee Allen and they were married on October 30, 1967. Olivia furthered her education at MCC Penn-Valley where she received her associate's degree in Banking. Olivia began her career in banking at Commerce Bank where she met her best friend Robert Vadnais. She made the decision to retire after 38 years in the lockbox as a supervisor so she could spend more time with her loved ones.

Many would say Olivia was always the life of the party. She enjoyed playing cards on Sundays and there she got her nickname “BOO JACK”. Olivia loved to shop, eat, watch movies, and read books. She used to always say “Reading can take you places you have never been before.” BOO JACK developed a love for playing dominoes and slot machines. What she really enjoyed was traveling to places like Spain and other states within the US. The one personal value that was really important to her was respect. Olivia's biggest pet peeve was when you didn’t say “HELLO”. She always believed that you should always speak when entering a room or calling anyone. If you needed someone to open up a BlueGill Fish, Olivia was the person to call. Olivia was always straightforward and valued her family and close friends. Olivia's home was opened up to anyone, if you needed a place to go she welcomed you in with open arms. Olivia was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend to many over the years.

Olivia Leaves to cherish her memory: her siblings Lonnie Goodrich, and Linda M Goodrich; Her children Christal L Allen, and Rachel D, Hill; Her Grandchildren Lagerika S Fry (Jason), Demond L Marley, Dev’veon C Marley, Robert D Hill Jr. Braydon & Bryson Allen, Her Great Grandchild Brizhana Ricks, Her Nephews and Nieces Delmario Goodrich (Michelle Goodrich), Temeshia Black, Marquise Greene, Chanel Rand, Sirron Rand, Vicki Hampton, and Clovis Hampton; she also leaves a host of great nieces and cousins and her special friend Robert Vadnais
