Mrs. Robbie L. Moore

Robbie Lee Moore affectionately know by many as “Mother Moore”.  Robbie was born September 24, 1920, in Cary, Mississippi. Mother Moore was the second child born to the proud parents of Frank Turner and Mamie Knight.

 Mother Moore made her transition on August 5, 2022, peacefully at The Villages of Jackson Creek, Independence, MO. She was 101 years old.

Mother Moore married Julius C. Moore on June 1st, 1959, in Kansas City, Mo. Her and Julius Moore were married for 29 years until his passing on November 19, 1988.

She accepted Christ at a young age. She was a faithful and dedicated member of the New Home Church of God in Christ. Mother Moore loved attending church and was loved by everyone there.

Mother Moore was a very dedicated person and had very strong work ethics. She worked for Rival Corp, Sunset Plastics and held various housekeeping positions before retiring in 1975.

Mother Moore is proceeded in death by parents Frank Turner and Mamie Knight, sister Bernice Turner, son Henry Howard, great granddaughter Demi Gilliam and husband Julius Moore.

She leaves to honor her memory brother Leonard Turner (Mary), daughter Bessie Ward (pudding), Mona Moore and Venus Moore. Grandchildren Earl Ward (Maria), Dana Ward, Sonja Expose, DaRell Moore, Ieasha Hill, Sylvester Hill, and Dominique Gilliam. She also leaves to honor her a special great niece RaShaunda Croffer (Billy) and Sylvia Timothy (Arraheem), 12 great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, her church family, and host of other loved ones.

Services will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2022, 10:30am at Watkins Heritage Chapel.  Visitation 9:30 am. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery, LVNKS. Service conducted by Watkins Heritage Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
