Ms. Betty Coleman Obituary

Betty Adams Coleman, was born June 27, 1933 in Clover, South Carolina to Azzielee and Samuel Adams.

She received her early education in Clover, South Carolina

Betty moved to Kansas City, Missouri and began her life with her late husband James Coleman, Sr.,

Betty’s parents, husband and two sons Carl, James, Jr., daughter Ellen and six siblings all have preceded her in death.

She loved being a wife, mother and homemaker raising six children.

Betty was a member of the Metropolitan AME Zion Church for over 40 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Azzielee Coleman Carter (Eric), son Ronnie Starks (Delores), daughter Ceocla Coleman and son Vincent Coleman sister Rev. Kay Adams Best, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great greatgrandchildren a host of other relatives.

Services will be held Friday, March 3, 2023, 9:30am at Metropolitan AME Zion Church. Visitation 8:30am.  Interment in the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery. Service conducted by Watkins Heritage Chapel.
