Carrie Juanita Lasker of Kansas City Missouri was born on June 11, 1954 to the union of Oscar and Carrie Lasker, she passed away peacefully at home on April 17, 2021. She accepted Christ at an early age at Good Samaritan Missionary Baptist church under the pastoral care of Rev. Walter J. Witherspoon. She loved the Lord and was a true follower of Jesus Christ. Carrie attended Kansas City, MO school district. She worked various jobs in the retail industry and later she enjoyed being a cook at the Pilot Flying J for 26 years.
Carrie met many celebrities such as The Jackson 5, Muhammed Ali, and Diana Ross. Carrie then continued to live life and had four beautiful daughters LaTanya, LaToya, Denise, and LaTasha. Carrie had a faithful devotion to her daughter LaToya for 43 years. She was an avid sports fan and loved entertainment. Her favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys. Carrie enjoyed being surrounded by loved ones, made friends with anyone whenever she had the chance. Carrie had a wonderful personality. She was so fun to be around because of her witty sense of humor and her very funny jokes. She loved to make people laugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Patania E Lasker, brother Ernest Utley, and niece Tarenda Utley. She leaves to cherish her memories; four daughters LaTanya M. Dorch (Edward), LaToya C. Lasker, Denise M. Lasker (Markco), and LaTasha E. Lasker of Kansas City, Mo; brother Oscar J Lasker of Kansas City Mo; sister Sheila A. Lasker of Columbia, Mo; Grandkids Ashley, Marie, Jorden, Lauryn, and Markco; Great Grandkids AZariah, AZiyah, and Zakharie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021, 11:00am at Watkins Heritage Chapel Interment Blue Ridge Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00am-11:00am at the chapel. Services conducted by Watkins Heritage Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website. Due to COVID-19, social distancing and face coverings are required. Temperature check for all guest(s).
