Ms. Glorita Watkins Obituary

Glorita Tanise Watkins was born to Willie Dexter Watkins & Gloria Ann Kitty Watkins (Johnson) on Monday June 18th, 1979. She departed from this life on Friday August 27, 2021. She was the youngest of 4 children.

She attended the Kansas City public school district where she graduated from Hickman Mills High School. After graduating High School , she attended 3 years at University of Missouri in Columbia Missouri.

She was a proud member of the St. Stephens Baptist Church where she was baptized and joined at a young age. She was employed at Mercantile Bank of Kansas City. She moved from Kansas City Missouri to Tulsa Oklahoma until her sudden and unexpected death. She loved GOD (studied the Bible ), and she loved her family and would give her last to them if they needed it or simply to see them smile! She loved to laugh and could find humor in almost anything. Her laugh was unique and could make anyone laugh even if they weren’t in the mood to do so.

Proceeding her in death were her parents: Gloria Ann Kitty Watkins (Johnson) & Willie Dexter Watkins and her sister Valecia Watkins.

She leaves to remember her: siblings Wilfred Ronald Watkins, and Tamara Lanise Henry (Watkins); Sister-in-law Joni Marie Watkins(Gill); Brother-in-law Hale Ray Henry; Nephews Kendrick Dexter Watkins, Hale Ray Henry Jr. (Champ), Rayquan Charles Henry(Quany Charles ), Raymond Terell Henry (Moses); Nieces Raeann Lachelle Henry (Raeanna Dirl) and Kiera Jackson; Great Nephew Carson Taylor Watkins; Aunts Mary Brown (Johnson) (Maw Maw), Deborah Pryor (Gordon), and Harriett Morris (Watkins); Close cousins LaQuita Givens (Cole) Kia Breaux Richardson, Idris Kinsey (Peanut) and James Grimmett (Sonny) And a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held next Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the Watkins Heritage Chapel. Interment Blue Ridge Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am-11am at the chapel. Service conducted by Watkins Heritage chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website. Due to COVID-19 protocols, social distancing and face coverings are required indoors.
