Ms. Joyce Webb Obituary

Joyce Lee Sims was born on January 29, 1943, in Stuttgart, Arkansas.  The eldest of seven children to Juanita and Kenneth Hill Sr.  Joyce attended Manual High School in Kansas City, Missouri.  On August 13, 1960, she joined G.C. Webb Sr. in holy matrimony.  From this union six children were born.   She became a faithful and bold member of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the choir, the Red Circle Mission group, and many other ministries.

Joyce had a love and passion for children at William A. Knotts Elementary School during her many years of service as a Cafeteria Attendant and PTA Board member.   Joyce also had a love for fashion, arts and crafts; therefore, served in her community as a full-time Seamstress/Entrepreneur.  She was a stranger to no one; her love for God exuded through her love for people.

On July 3, 2021. Joyce Webb transitioned to glory, peacefully sleeping in the comfort of her home.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Reverend G.C. Webb, Sr., of 40 years, her parents, brother, Willie Earl Richardson, and Grandson Izik Ealy.  To cherish her memory, she leaves:  her siblings, Selma Jo McElroy, Norma Jean Hill, Annette Cunningham, Kenneth Hill, Jr. and Saratha Hill.  Her six children, Linda Johnson (Martin), Glenda Webb, G.C. Webb, Jr. (Shonia), Sheila Brantley (Craig), Aykesha Parks (Anthony), and Charmanie Webb.  Sixteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Joyce was loved and respected by her family and friends and will be truly missed.

However, her presence will live on and her legacy of faith, strength, and unconditional will remain forever.
