Ms. Karen D. Gillespie

Karen Denise Gillespie was born April 17, 1961, in Kansas City, KS. Born the second of 3 children to Mary Ann Johnson and Jack Johnson Jr.  She was preceded in death by both her parents. 

She attended St. Theresa’s Academy, graduated in 1979 and married Gerald Gillespie in 2005.

She was raised in Kansas City, MO. She was employed for many years at various hotel chains, Westin, Sheraton, etc. She loved spending time with family & loved playing cards specifically Black Jack.  She loved her Charlies Angels, (specifically the pose).

Karen leaves to cherish in her memory: her husband, Gerald Gillespie; her brother & sister, Kevin L. Johnson (Wife Connie Johnson) & Jackie J. Johnson, her children, Gary Neal, Brooke Davis (Husband Eric Davis Sr.) & Lauren Sweeney; her grandchildren, Marques Neal, Alexzandrea Neal, Kaleb Neal, Eric Davis Jr., Taylor Davis & Kennedi Davis; along with 3 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023, 3:00 pm at Watkins Heritage Chapel. visitation 2:00pm.-3:00pm at the chapel. Service conducted by Watkins Heritage Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
