On March 28, 1951, in Tunica Mississippi, a beautiful bundle of joy named Kathrine (Williams) Wallace was born to the union of Mr. Freddie Williams and Lena Mae (Shaw) Williams. She departed this life on April 28, 2021 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was preceded in death by both parents, and siblings: Dean Williams, Marie Williams, Howard Williams, Ida Williams, Ruthie Bush, Lillie Hayes, and Janie Lee Williams.
She united in holy matrimony to Mr. Robert Muse. Three beautiful children were born to this union: Yolanda Willingham, Robert Muse II, and Shanta Muse-Williams. This union was dissolved. She later united in holy matrimony to Charles Rodney Wallace who preceded her in death.
She received her formal education in the school systems in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a lover of education and subsequently graduated from Kansas City Kansas Community College where she received her Associates of Arts in December of 2006. In 2013, she received her Theology degree from Faith Bible College. Kathy also held her professional Certified Nursing Assistant license.
Kathy was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 20 plus years at Delmar Gardens of Overland Park where she loved caring for the elderly and took pride in providing first class care. Her gift was to bring happiness and joy to others, especially seniors.
Kathy enjoyed praising the Lord, fishing, bowling, puzzles, traveling, singing, family fun time with games, movie nights, holidays (especially Christmas) and birthday celebrations. Whether you knew her as Kathrine, Kathy, Kat, Missionary, Evangelist Wallace, or Aunt Bae Bae, she always had a great big heart of love for everyone she met. `
Kathy loved God most of all and served God with all her strength. She united with Old Path COGIC, under the leadership of The Late Elder William H. Meadows Jr., where she was licensed an Evangelist Missionary by the Prelate of Western Missouri Churches of God In Christ, The Late Bishop V.M. Barker. She later joined fellowship with Rejoicing Temple COGIC, under the pastorate of The Late Bishop Garfield Tyler, and later united with Faith Deliverance COGIC, under the leadership of Pastor Jessie Fisher. She was instrumental in bringing many souls to the Lord, including her family.
She was a true Evangelist Missionary. Whether she saw you at Walmart or you knew her from the neighborhood, she always had time to share Jesus, and encourage your heart. She spread love, joy, and faith to everyone she encountered. She was a woman full of faith who believed no matter what, God was able to deliver. If you ask and believe, you will receive. Without a doubt, she believed in the power of fasting and prayer. The manifestation of her faith was seen throughout her life as she survived five heart attacks, three strokes, and conquered cancer with the help of the Lord. She lived by Philippians 4:13, “I can do ALL THINGS through Christ that strengthens me.”
She leaves to cherish her love and memories: her daughters; Yolanda Willingham, Shanta Muse-Williams (Greg), and one son, Robert Muse II, her loving grandchildren; Marshonda Willingham, Marleena Willingham, DeShonna Womack, LaMart Hobbs Jr., LaDesha Hobbs, and her devoted and loving siblings, Rosetta Bowman, Bishop Sammie (Earline) Williams, Eula Halliburton, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was a spiritual and surrogate mother to many that she did not birth. Our angel has gone home to glory and will be greatly missed.
