Ms. Patricia Crawford Obituary

Patricia (Pat) passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021.  She was born in Lyon, MS to Clayborn and Charity Jones on August 30, 1950.  Both parents preceded her in death.

Pat was a graduate of Coahoma Agriculture High School in Clarksdale, MS.  She was always interested in continuing education and therefore attained college credits from Avila College and Carver Baptist Bible College.  Pat was a member of the IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals).

Pat married Eugene Crawford on October 10, 1969.  They moved to Kansas City, MO in 1971.  Eugene preceded her in death in 2006.

Jesus Christ became Pat’s personal Savior at an early age, and she was baptized at Dennis Chapel Baptist Church in Clarksdale, MS.  She was a dedicated and faithful servant to her Lord.  Pat became a member of Gethsemane New Testament Baptist Church in 1979 under the pastorate of Pastor Jehrome B. Randolph, where she served faithfully as church secretary, choir president, mission secretary, Vacation Bible School instructor, Sunday School teacher and wherever else in the church she was needed to do the Lord’s work.  She worked in the Fellowship Missionary Baptist District Association, State and Region.  Pat served at Gethsemane for 28 years, and later joined Love United Missionary Baptist Church in 2007, under the pastorate of her son, Pastor Clayborn R. Jones, serving as Senior Choir director, secretary, assistant Sunday School Superintendent.  Pat loved to sing praises to the Lord and always carried a tune in her heart.  She also loved to talk and witness about what the Lord had done in her life with co-workers and even strangers.  Pat was not ashamed to tell the world that Jesus Christ was her Lord.

Pat worked for Honeywell Federal Manufacturing and Technologies over 50 years until her health failed.

Pat was a loving and devoted wife, sister and aunt, as well as a proud mother and loving grandmother.  She had a fondness for elderly people and tried to help with whatever was needed to make their life a little better.

Pat is survived by her son, Clayborn R. Jones (Erika) of Kansas City, MO; sister, Drucilla Tucker of Clarksdale, MS; granddaughters, Lauren and Braygan Jones of Kansas City, MO; brothers and sisters in-law, Clarence Crawford, Jr, Geneva Long, Jean Henderson, Eddie Crawford (Loretta), Cornelia Lenoir (Ray), all of Kansas City, MO, Corine Crawford, Shirley Crawford of Clarksdale, MS; and a host of other relatives and friends
