Ms. Rosie Lawson Solomon Obituary

Rosie (Lawson) Solomon was born April 14, 1930, in Kansas City, KS to James Lawson and Mary (Ricks) Lawson. Rosie was one of nine children.

She attended Sumner High School. Give her any word to spell and she spelled it. A walking dictionary.

Rosie met Dell Solomon whom she married April 17, 1948, she was married for 75 years. To this union there were ten children: Terry, Pamela, Lucille, Winston, Maxine, Pauline, Clifford, Gail, Bruce, and Dale. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend a very giving person.

Rosie hobbies were sewing, cooking, and listening to music. Whenever the music would come on you could find her moving her feet and snapping her fingers. The most important would be her ministry, she loved teaching people about Jehovah. She was baptized in 1962. She loved attending her spiritual meeting until she became ill; that did not stop her from preaching to people. She did telephone witnessing with a dear friend and spiritual sister.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, 6 siblings, 3 grandsons, 2 sons-in-law her living husband Dell Solomon and her loving son Bruce Solomon (infant daughter- Maxine.

Her memory will be cherished by 2 siblings, 8 children, and their spouses, 37 grandchildren, 88 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews. Including friends Sister Winnie Larry and Sister Alfreda Gasaway. 

Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023, 1 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses 3601 E. 53rd, St., Kansas City, Missouri. Services conducted by Watkins Heritage Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
