Shelia Marie passed peacefully in her sleep on January 5, 2022. She lived 79 years and shall forever be remembered as a loving mother and caretaker. Shelia’s true legacy lies in her children. As the proud mother of six, her heart belonged to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They brought her joy along with listening to good music, her favorite being the blues. In 1967, she married Kenneth Smith and she found joy later in life in with her longtime companion, Robert Skinner, who preceded her in death. Her grandson, Dennis Smith, Jr. also preceded her in death.
Shelia was a longtime faithful member of the Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Christ where she served as an Usher and participated in Sunday School. She was always in order and would always greet those who would enter in the back entrance of the Sanctuary.
