I am Toni Angel Adams Aka “Little Toni” I was named after my amazing father. I began my earthly journey July 10, 1955, through the union of Clarence Joseph Toney Adams & Ann B. Adams I attended two Kansas City Mo elementary schools, D.A. Homes and Greenwood. I attended Northeast High School and graduated in 1973 from Paseo High School. After graduating I attended Pen Valley Community College for two years. (Those were fun times) Later I became a Supervisor at Gates Bar-B-Que, as well as Wendy’s. I also became a Hairstylist for 20 years in Denver Colorado. After much thought I decided to move back home to Kansas City and help my father in our family business “Toney’s Grocery Store and Heart of America Chicken in a Box” Speaking of “Heart of America Chicken In A Box”... I want you all to know, Daddy’s special secret recipe for that tasty mouthwatering chicken y’all so loved… Will forever be in a box! I’m taking it with me! As for the flavorful little cup of salad in that greasy white box!… Oh well, the recipe was: Just Good Ole French Salad Dressing! However, it wasn't a no named CHEAP BRAND! Back in those days the best Salad Dressing was “ISIS!” Today, ya might wanna give Wishbone try! After the transition of my beloved father, my mother Ann and I became Entrepreneurs. We opened A Family Mini Market located at 12th & Brooklyn KCMO. It has definitely served its purpose! To each of you who supported and still do I appreciate and thank you! As for y’all who never even bought a piece of gum, I say: “Bye Felicia!” I’ve had a long and sometimes difficult battle with Kidney Failure. However, I must tell you I was blessed to have been a recipient of an Organ Donors’ Kidney during my battle. However, my much-appreciated Kidney’s life span was no more than five years. Still, I was blessed highly favored and grateful! If there is anything, I’d love for you to remember about me it would be: I loved hard, worked hard, played hard and I was a serious advocate for Organ donors! I am preceded in transition by my Father Toney Adams, Mother Ann Adams my beloved son Darrell) Adams, my Sister Diane Oliver and my favorite nephew Lorenzo Woodard. The one’s I leave to share and remember my glorious journey are my sisters Annette Woodard and Debra Young. (My sister from another mother, Loubon Bowen) my brothers Mark Woodard and Kenneth Jackson. My favorite cousin Antoinnette Johnson (Ronald) and a beautiful family of Nieces, Nephews Cousins and a host of Friends. My only wish is that you all will take the time and please get a better understanding about becoming an organ donor. YOUR ORGANS MAY PROVIDE A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE FOR SOMEONE YOU MAY OR MAY NOT KNOW... No tears, keep enjoying your journey and whenever I cross your mind’s… Simply Smile… I’m on to my next Glorious Journey and… Don’t forget... I’ve taken that “Chicken Recipe” with me! Just in case!
