Trinity Riaun Poke was born January 26th, 2001, in Columbia, MO to Rhan L. Cavil-McCarther and Michael A. Poke Jr.
Trinity attended University Academy and continued her education at Raytown South Middle School. She graduated from Raytown South High School in 2019.
Trinity’s passion was DANCE. She used dance as a vehicle for expression. She told her story, conveyed feelings and emotions, and created connections through movement. She was a dedicated member of Dancin’ 2 Wynn’s Dance Team (Wynn Twins), as well as a devoted member of the Kansas City Marching Falcon’s Drill Team. Her talents also provided her the opportunity to be a cheerleader for Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO. She was a free spirit, whose ready smile and compassionate heart touched those she cared for as a nurse’s assistant.
She departed this life on Thursday March 28th, 2024.
She is survived by: her mother, Rhan L. Cavil-McCarther (Edwina McCarther); her father, Michael A. Poke, Jr. (Danielle Wells); her stepsister NaKasha Thompson and stepbrother Jordan Morris; her nephew DeMoceo Thompson; her great grandparents Gloria Borders and Irene Bell; her grandparents Mary and Michael Poke, Sr, Sandra and Glen Smith and Dorothy Wyatt-Cavil. She was preceded in death by her “PaPa” Ronald L Cavil. She leaves behind a host of family and friends to cherish her memory.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, 11am at the Watkins Heritage Chapel. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitation from 10am-11am at the chapel. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
