Samuel Wallace Watson III was born March 31, 1959 to Samuel Wallace Watson, Jr., and Wilbertine (Tina) Watson in Kansas City, Missouri. His father preceded him in death.
Sam was fondly known as “Spanky”. Sam graduated from Turner High School in 1977. He served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged June 5, 1980.
After Sam’s military career, he moved back to Kansas and became a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church.
At the age of 23, Sam was in a critical car accident where he remained in a comma for a year. He had many physical challenges, but his spirit and stubbornness kept everyone on their toes. He was always polite and would say “thank you”
On Wednesday, January 27, 2021, a heavenly angel was displaced with a summons for Samuel (Sam) Watson, III to make his transition from his earthly home to his heavenly home.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Wilbertine (Tina) Watson West, Sister Patrice Watson Manuel, nephew Samuel Watson Manuel and his Aunts, cousins, other relatives, extended family, and friends.
Special love to Community Words, Dream Works, Eddie Rhodeman, Johnsonville Home and Heartland Hospice.
