SANDY KELLY

Sandy Sherene Kelly, age 49 years, passed away on Friday August 2, 2019, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City. She was born on December 18,1969 in Kingston, Jamaica to parents, Nellie A Slowley and Lorenzo C. Kelly, and was the eldest daughter for both her parents.

Sandy had the innate ability to touch people in a deep and positive way, nourishing the people around her with love and compassion. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was willing to lend a hand whenever she was required.

Sandy graduated Penn Valley Community College in 2009 with a degree in Fashion Design and was most recently, employed at the Bishop Spencer Place retirement community.

She is survived by her two children, Tyrone Martin and Makayla (Kayla) Long: her parents , sisters Karen Kelly Gordon, Tanya (Lizzy) Graham: her brothers Colly Kelly, Courtney Kelly and Edelee Kelly; her step-mother Jean Kelly: step sister and step-brothers, her nieces and nephew and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Family, friends and all others whose lives sandy touched are invited to the Watkins Heritage Memorial Chapel, 4000 Cleaver II Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64130 on Saturday, August 17, 2019 to celebrate her life. Visitation will be held at 2:00pm and the service will be held at 3:00pm. Her remains will be transported to her grandparents’ home in Portland, Jamaica for final internment.
