Susan D Allen

Susan Delois Allen was born January 1, 1969 in Kansas City,Missouri to the union of Ernest Spivey, Jr.and Anabeth (Brown) Spivey.  Both parents preceded her in death.  Susan accepted the Lord at a very early young age and was baptized at Mount Sinai Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Reverend Fate White.  Susan received her formal education through the Kansas City Public School System, graduating from Central High School in 1987 as the Class Salutatorian.  Susan continued her pursuit of education by attending Rockhurst University, Kansas City, Missouri earning a BS degree in Communication.  Susan was an avid collector of dolls and enjoyed reading mystery novels. Susan was also active in various organizations such as Amnesty International, the Girl Scouts and the Special Olympics.   During her working career, Susan held various positions in the insurance, fashion, education and hospitality industries.  Susan departed this life on January 21, 2020.  She leaves to mourn her memories, her husband, Jamal Allen; sister, Carol; brothers, Paul and Carl; nieces, Anabeth and Victoria; nephew, Earnest; and a host of cousins and friends.  Memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 24, 2020.
