Mr. Cleveland Woods

June 21, 1961 ~ June 27, 2022 (age 61)

Obituary

Cleveland Woods, age 61 passed away on June 27, 2022 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, TX.  He was born on May 21, 1961, in Mississippi to Mack Woods and Eula Mae Stigler.  Cleveland was preceded in death by his parents, Mack Woods and Eula Mae Stigler, his brother David Woods and his grandmother Lucreasie Stigler.

Cleveland grew up in Kansas City, MO.  He graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, MO in 1979.  After high school he:

Joined the Air Force in 1980 and served for 2 years.

Attended Spartan Aeronautical School, worked in the aviation industry for 30 years, beginning as  an Aviation Mechanic up to Quality Assurance Manager.

Cleveland married Angela in 1990 in Kansas City, MO.  They were happily married for 31 years.  Cleveland enjoyed working on cars, playing the bass, spending time with his family, jamming out to jazz, funk and R&B music, mentoring and passing on his wisdom and knowledge, watching Sci-Fi shows and movies, discussing current events and politics, playing card games with his family, anything related to aviation, sports cars, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs play.

Cleveland, described in one word, would be Passionate.  He was hard working and put everything he had into whatever he was working on.  He had a wealth of knowledge and any topic that you discussed with him, he either knew something about it or was anxious to learn it.  His generosity was unselfish and he was always willing to help.  As his health began to worsen, he was strong and his spirit never broke.  He is a shining light that will never dim.  We will always remember his courage and strength.

Cleveland is survived by his spouse Angela Woods of Dallas, TX; his daughter Erika Woods of Dallas, TX; his brothers and sisters:  John (Mamie) Stigler, George (Bonnie) Stigler, Fareeda Muhammed, Rober (Pinky) Stigler, Berniece Stigler, Georgianna Stigler and Curtis (Rebecca) Stigler of Kansas City, MO and his nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends
